It’s not at all easy.

But perhaps it’s easier than loving the same friend
in the context of a romantic relationship.

(Right now, it is. But that was sweet too.)

And besides, for me, right now
it’s not about ease or difficulty.

It’s about me.
It’s about finding security for myself.

Not wealth not status not prestige.
But about claiming my power.

And knowing I am, will be ok no matter what.
No matter what comes up, comes next.

No matter who comes by and leaves.
